Quechee Gorge, first signs of fall (Woodford SP, Vermont)

Continuing west along highway 4 and the Ottauquechee River we crossed into Vermont and got a chance to visit the the town of Quechee (with a very expensive looking country club), view the small but spectacular Quechee Gorge and take a stroll around Woodstock (not the famous one), a nice prosperous tourist destination. A little after Woodstock we joined highway 100, turned south and wound our way through the rural hills of Vermont through picturesque forests, patches of farm land, small quaint hamlets and over some very twisting, steep and in places rough paved roads. to read the full post
