Round Australian by Motorcycle
Around the middle of May (this year) 2025 I (Rob) will setout to ride a motorcycle solo/unsupported around Australia.
In the larger scheme of things this is not an especially exotic or challenging undertaking as many people ride motorcycles around the continent of Australia
every year. However, at my age (76), I anticipate this undertaking will test me fully.
I expect the journey will cover 14,000-15,000 km, and and last something like 8 to 12 weeks. The route will be clockwise around the continent from Sydney and
will try to largely avoid the coastal regions of the country. To the extent possible this will be an outback expedition.
At this point there is only one journal entry for the trip and that covers planning and what I will carry. The map page associated with this
adventure displays the planned route. Once underway the journal, as usual, will be a daily log of the journey and the map page will include the
actual route and camping/stopping locations.
