I was cold during the night and had to crank up the propane furnace. When I got out of the vehicle in the morning I understood why. The thermometer showed 25°F and the ground which was muddy the previous evening was frozen solid. The puddles of water had ice 3/8 inch thick on top. So I estimated the temperature was something like 20°F during the night.

At the southern end of Williams Lake we called in to visit the new Tourism Discovery Center. It's a two storey log house structure that is pretty impressive. The center post of this building is a huge tree that still has its roots attached. Inside one of the exhibits is a traditional log house. That gives you some idea how big this building is.

In Willams Lake business center, I decided it was time for a hair cut. When I told the lady I wanted a 2 all over she laughed at me "maybe you should keep some hair to keep you warm", she remarked. Everyone in the barber shop thought we were crazy going to Alaska at this time of year. I counted that as laugh one.

The rest of the day was uneventful. The temperature was around 30°F, it snowed off and on all day, and the scenery was evergreen forest as far as the eye could see.

On the southern side of Prince George we found the Sintich Trailer park with no trouble. That was where we planned to spend two nights so that tomorrow we could spend time catching up on emails, Skype, and business. In the campground office, it was not clear the owner wanted us to stay the night, he kept telling us that the water was turned off etc. but eventually he signed us up for one night.

When we told the camp manager that we were going to Alaska he laughed at us and asked why. Of course we have no answer to that. I counted that laugh number two.
