I decided to buy two new rear tires for the Tiger this morning. So I was up early and phoned a couple of the local tire shops, and as luck would have it one of them (KAL-TIRE) had in stock some Bridgestones compatible with the existing tires. So off we went to get them fitted. To cut a long story short we waited from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, but eventually got our tires.

Mind you, we managed to do our other shopping, emails, and walking during our wait for tires!

We only drove a short distance out of Whitehorse to a provincial campground on Marsh Lake. Most Yukon provincial campground provide fire wood free of charge, but this one was a bit OTT - that's Australian for Over The Top. As there were large piles of fire wood all over the place.

The good supply of firewood was a stroke of luck as we had planned on attempting our first roast dinner of the trip, cooked in our dutch oven, and that usually requires a lot of wood for the necessary coals. You will note in the accompanying photo two pots in the ground, one for a small roast of beef and the other for veggies.

While waiting for our feast to cook we were entertained by a local squirrel(?)
