We spent today in the area around our Water Park Automorisco.

In the morning we went to the market at the nearby town of Palin. The market was right next to the town square which has the most enormous tree in the middle. The canopy of the tree covers the entire square - about 100 yards across.

Nina was in her element at the market taking photos of the local vendors and their children. We bought a selection of fruit and vegetables and Nina tried her hand at making small tortilla like pastries.

Nina and Norm went off to the town of Amatitlan for hair cuts while I stayed in camp. To my surprise they arrived back accompanied by the young women hairdresser and she eventually gave me a hair cut also.

After lunch we all went back into Amatitlan, Nina and I to find internet and Norm to look for some auto parts. We spent about an hour in the internet cafe. On this occasion we took our computers with us. I felt a little conspicuous carrying a pack with two computers so will try to carry the website files on a thumb drive in future.

Back at camp I sampled the water park attractions and we had a quiet night talking in poor Spanish to the children of the water park cook.
