This morning when we woke the boat was anchored just off Santa Fe Island and the plans for the day were in the same pattern as the previous days. First a walk on the island to look at the local animals and then some snorkeling in the bay. Our walk found the now common colonies of sea lions snoozing on the beach and rocks, an assortment of birds, a new variety of land Iguana, and a number of Galapagos Hawks. Another interesting morning. The Snorkeling was good today, the water a bit warmer than some of the earlier days and a number of sea lions were prepared to keep us company. I also saw a couple of small sharks, not the man eating variety.

A short navigation to the second of the days Islands occurred during lunch, so that by 2:00pm we were walking the shores of North Plaza, a very small island. Only 1000m long and 300m wide. Again lots of sea lions, birds of various types, those same new variety of land Iguana from this morning. The additional interest for this island is the colony of male sea lions. This is were sea lions in the area that are either too young to have their own herd, or have been defeated in a fight for a herd live until they grow enough or recover enough to fight successfully for their own herd.

Late in the day we moved again to Black Turtle Cove in preparation for tomorrow morning, and the last, outing.
