Today turned out to be a day of relaxation.

In the morning we took a short hike through the forest and spotted an ant eater high in the trees in a position that was impossible to photograph. We also saw a number of strangler figs that had completely surrounded their host trees and killed them.

After lunch we took a short boat ride to local thermal pools. The pools were pretty, primitive (that is un-developed) but it was a pleasant interlude.

After dinner the guide used a local jungle fruit to paint non permanent tattoos on our arms.
