We were on the road by 7:30 this morning pleased to leave our curbside camping spot and have the vehicle air conditioner going.
The drive into Managua was uneventful, traffic mostly light and the GPS giving us unerring directions. Once we hit the city the traffic increased and the speed of travel reduced. But no problems, one just needs patience.
We got to the Camino Real Hotel about 10:30, checked in and I spent the remainder of the day trying to recover from a cold that I had picked up over the previous few days.
Camping
We stayed at the Camino Real Hotel. It is quite a nice hotel, though during this visit the showers did not work correctly - we could not adjust the temperature of the water, it cycled from boiling to cold. I had never really appreciated before this trip what a major technological achievement a working hot water system was.
