Today was programmed as a rest day for us older people. We spent it mostly lazing around the hotel with a few short excursions when we got bored. These included near by Santi Chai Prakan Park and Fort
Late afternoon we made a visit to Pinklao Shopping Mall a very impressive 5 story ultra modern mall with all the consumer goods one could find in the largest of western cities.
Interesting Pinklao
seems like it was a nick name or informal name for the younger brother of Mongkut, King Rama IV. King Rama IV crowned his younger brother a monarch with equal honor to himself.
