As arranged we were collected from out hotel at 9:00 am by a representative from WaExperts and delivered to their depot where we had a couple of hours training on the systems of the vehicle and then we were on our own.
Task two for the day was grocery shopping and trying to work out how to put all that stuff into a vehicle way smaller than we are accustomed to. But we managed it.
During the past few days in the hotel I had chosen a small primitive "state park" style campground called Herron Point perhaps 70 miles south of Perth. With shopping and other chores we managed to get there about 5:00 pm. It had a camp host, flush toilets and no other facilities. It is however situated on and ocean estuary and so provided some relief to what was otherwise a hot day.
The place was well occupied, mostly with caravans (what in the US would be called travel trailers), a few bus conversion, a lot of tents and one truck conversion.
