I forgot to mention in yesterdays post that places like our Panorama camp is typically called a Caravan Park in Australia and may have the phrase Tourist Park added in there somewhere. I also forgot to mention that there where two fifth wheels in the camp last night and both where being towed by Chevy Duramax Pickup trucks. I talked to one of the owners and discovered that GM Australia is now importing those trucks and performing the conversion to right hand drive for local consumption. It is also possible to buy Ford Super Duty and RAM Cummins pickup trucks but for these the right hand drive conversion is done after market not by the manufacturers.

Today I got an update to the all the ups are down that I mentioned previously. Another interpretation of this phrase is to do with pronunciation; specifically the up at the end of a word is to have a falling inflection not a rising inflection.

Today we spent most of the day visiting a series of beaches and coastal attractions in the Albany area, all quite pretty and all requiring a short hike so we got our daily exercise. Access to the Gap and the Natural Bridge was facilitated by a spectacular steel walkway and observation platorms.

Late in the day we headed north from Albany away from the coast. This ended our tour of the Southern Forest and those huge hardwood trees.

Tonight we are camped in Poronogurup Caravan and Tourist Park. A smallish bush camp with great facilities, managed and owned by a German.
