Today started with a photo of last nights camp. Then today was just a travel day, retraced our route over the rough gravel track to Hermannsburg, a quick picture of the house of Albert Namatjira (famous Australian Aboriginal artist) then 200+km of more rough road to Kings Canyon Resort.

What we did not expect was to pick up a hitch hiker about 40 km west of Hermannsburg at the junction of the roads to Glen Helen and Kings Canyon. This French guy had been waiting at this intersection for 2 days and we were the third car of the day. Thus a bit of reorganizing of the luggage and we squeezed him into the back of the troopy.

Kings Canyon Resort is quite a sizeable establishment. Large campground with all facilities, and a range of other styles of accommodation. A good place to pick up some supplies. Fuel was expensive at A$2.17 per liter (US$6.15 per gallon).
