A beautiful morning encouraged me to get up before the sun and I even took a photo of the rising sun to prove it. Nina got a picture of the strange ants/termites nest on the tree near our camp.

About 75 kms into our days drive we stopped at a roadside rest area which provided a sheltered picnic table and two water tanks. Someone had put plastic containers under each tank's tap and a sign on each tank, see pict 5. We filled each of the containers and spent a while watching the birds squawk and argue over the water. Reminded me of Parliament.

Eventually we reached the Stuart Hwy (main drag from Adelaide to Darwin) and its attendant roadhouse. The derelict plane was part of the decoration of the roadhouse.

A few kms up the Stuart we came to Daly Waters and its quirky pub. The donkey is one of Daly Waters residents and was wondering around the streets. As we entered the campground it found a collection of vegetables on top of an oil drum. The guy organizing parking in the campground had put them there as a treat for the donkey and his friend "the horse".
