A few more photos around Tibooburra before departing. The boat up in the air is a replica of the boat carried by Stuart's Expedition while searching for the fabled inland-sea. Can you imagine hauling that thing halfway across Australia only to never find enough water to get it wet.
Also a final photo of the town's Emu, her name is Sue
Then we were on our way, firstly east to Wanaaring, NSW. This was a lonely drive of 240 km on dirt road that at times was very good and at other times had us wondering whether we were actually on a road. We saw 4 other vehicles on that leg and no other settlements. Then north to Hungerford, QLD. A very small town. From NSW the entrance to the town is blocked by a gate in the Dog Proof Fence. Great little camping area in Hungerford. Hot water, laundry facilities and electricity if you wanted it.
The Hungerford leg, 120km, we only saw one car and one motorcycle.
