Nina and I had no planned excursions today so we decided we would spend some time exploring the area of Mumbia around the dock and in order to have an objective Nina decided she needed a supermarket in order to buy some muesli. After some google research we narrowed down to a likely establishment; a shop that had an name in English and that was part of a chain of shops with the same name. Amazingly after a taxi ride to the center of the local "town" and a 2 km walk we found the shop and acquired the necessary supplies.

There after we walked back to where the taxi dropped us off with the intention of looking at some shirts and other clothing for me. It was then we realized how lucky we had been that the supermarket was open, as all the other shops we wanted to visit were not to open for another 1 1/2 hours. We waited for a while, visited one store, and by then I had lost all enthusiasm and decided it was time for me to return to the ship.

So we walked back to the ship. This turned out to be like playing a game of dodgem cars where Nina and I were on foot and everyone else was in a bus, car or on a motorcycle; and where driving on the foot path was allowed.

As you can see from the photos, Nina found a new friend during the walk.
