Today turned out to be sunny, as predicted by the weather app on our phones and making it a good day for us to leave Prince Alert and travel the section of Highway 120 to Candle Lake which was marked as a scenic road on one of our maps. The good light also gave Nina a chance to get a few photos of the PA Exhibition grounds and some of its more notable sights.

We never did really see what was scenic about that section of highway, though Candle Lake itself was a picturesque lake with a sizable holiday community that seemed pretty much closed for the season. After Candle Lake the country side turned from rich looking farm land into more typical Northern Forest with the road simply being a tunnel through the green.

We camped for the night at Baldy Lake a bit north of Candle Lake with its modest campground come recreation area and boat ramp.
