Today was a bit of a nostalgic day as Nina set off before 9:00 this morning to visit Vajdahunyad Castle and Heroes Square. These were places we visited and remarked on when we previously visited Budapest. Along the way she found a revamped City Park and the Ethnography Museum.
Meanwhile I found a large green patch on the map just south of our hotel and thought it might be a park worth visiting. It turned out to be Fiume Road or Kerepesi Cemetary.
After our separate exploration we met up at the Dohány Synagogue which just happened to be across the street from the Airbnb we stayed in when we visited Budapest in 2017. In keeping with other work in the city that apartment block seems to be under serious renovation.
