When I alighted from my tent this morning I was greeted by a large group of Kangaroos and a cool but clear day. The kangaroos gradually dispersed as I fussed around packing up my gear. Once underway Orange was my first destination for coffee and breakfast.
Yesterday afternoon one of my water containers (a 4 litre water bladder) dropped off the bike which left me last night without water. The town of Orange offered an opportunity to replace that article. So I now have a new backpack with a drinking bladder.
The remainder of the day was good riding in cool but sunny weather with rest stops at the towns of Manildra (second hand shop and wheat silos), Parkes (Elvis and town park), Bogon Gate (impressive clock with names of locals who served in WWI) and Yarranbandai Silo.
Camp for the night as an informal rest area near a bridge over Wallaroi Creek 10km south of Condoblin.
