Before leaving Turkey Roadhouse this morning I took a few photos of the place. Since I spent 2 nights and 1.5 days here I figured I should try to remember the place.

The Great North Road, which I have been travelling on for the past few days, eventually meets the The Victoria Highway and then continues North and left to the town of Wyndham while a right turn onto the Victoria Hwy goes to Kununnurra. This is strange naming as the Great North Road is also designated as national Highway 1, but the Victoria Hwy is also national Highway 1.

The ride from Turkey Roadhouse to the junction with the Victoria Highway continues to be a scenic experience with small mountains of red rock, interesting plans and (I think) unusually green growth in the bush from recent rains.

At the junction with the Victoria Highway I took the left turn to Wyndham as I wanted to visit the hill-top lookout in Wyndham as it gives a good view of the huge and spectacular junction of 5 rivers.

After Wyndham it was a 100km run to Kununnurra and a camping spot at the Hidden Valley Caravan Park. As the name suggests the park is located in a small valley amidst red rock pinacles.
