A house with a laundry and space to spread out captivated us this morning so that we did not get going until the morning was almost done. A few more shopping chores and a chance meeting with another Unimog owner and Rosie and her friends from Texas and we were really late getting underway. As a result we got only as far as Haviland Lake Campground; only about 30 miles for the day.

The extra time around camp was put to good use.

  • Firstly; (with apologies to the GXV team) we undertook a bit of remodeling of the storage unit at the head of our bed. We would like to store more "stuff" in this area and to achieve this we decided to remove the cover over the electrical wiring (we will replace this with something more space efficient in the future).

  • Secondly; we did a big cookup outside.
