We started the day with an over cast and cold morning (38°F) as our route continued through hilly forested countryside. Mid morning the trees disappeared and suddenly we were in a grassland of wide valleys and rolling hills. By lunch time the sun was out and the weather was warm and finally looked and felt like spring. Mid afternoon we found a creek that we could get down to and spent some time washing the truck and topping up our water supply. The electric emersion pump we decided to bring for this purpose has already justified its existence.
While stopped to get water I also removed one of the panels covering our water tank in the hope that I could visually determine the water level. However the tank is too opaque. What I discovered is that the mechanism that holds that tank in place was loose; so I tightened it. Since them the electronic level indicator is working. I don't understand this, but won't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Unfortunately the removal of that one panel covering the water tank required some demolition (destruction) to the panel. It seems to be a feature of the design that these panels cannot be removed without first removing the entire bed platform. Hence maintenance items like tightening the tank hold-downs, and cleaning out the water tank which you would think should be relatively straight forward are actually major exercises that require cutting water pipes, cutting electrical wires and removing the entire bed platform. May I suggest that there is an opportunity for a design enhancement here.
