Out to the truck again this morning, this time carrying a couple of big bags of groceries. We were stocking up in preparartion for leaving UB. We have been told supplies will be limited once out of UB into the countryside.

We found the new storage box coming along nicely with the plan that it would be completed and installed by the end of the day.

My task for the day was to work on the Webasto Diesel cooktop. I think I have already mentioned that I managed to drop something heavy on the ceramic stove top and break it. Well Mike from GXV brought a replacement ceramic top with him from the US. Acording to the instructions the first task was to remove the broken top. This proved to be a messy job as the ceramic top is stuck to the heating mechanism with adhesive. It took about an hour to take the top off using a utility knife, chisel, hammer and lots of ducktape to stop glass fragments from flying all over the place. Nina and I were pleased with ourselves when it was finally done. However our self satisfied smiles dissapeared as soon as we started preparing to lay down the adhesive for the new top. The tube of special heat resistant silicon glue supplied (by Webasto) with the new top had gone hard and the glue was useless. Bummer!! I don't know what we are going to do about this, probably wait until Europe to fix it.
