It was raining steadily this morning as we got underway and continued that way for most of the day. The route this morning headed towards a town called Tsetseleg (same name as a previous town, but not the same town). At one point we seemed to be off course but a spur road took us back to the main track. A highlight of the morning was the appearance of 3 SUVs heading the other way. Also, at our morning tea stop we were visited by a couple of local guys on a small motorcycle, we invited them in to the camper to share our morning tea.
We saw many good displays of wild flowers this morning and Nina spent a deal of time trying to capture pictures of them.
Tsetseleg was a modest town with a wide unpaved main street and many shops, though we could not work out what most of them sold. The guys standing around in the street were very curious about us and I had an active conversation while Nina did a little shopping.
After Tsetseleg the map showed that the road crossed the Tesiin River and as we approached the crossing we could see a bridge; however it soon became apparent that the bridge was out of commission and that fording the river was required.
We followed the Tesiin River for much of the remainder of the day. Finally departing the river the road climbed a small pass to a large Ovoo. We found a flat spot up the hill above the Ovoo for our nights camp. During the afternoon 3 or 4 cars passed us and a young man from a Ger camp in the Tesiin Valley came up to see us and satisfy his curiosity.
