It is interesting how perception works. Returning over the section of bad road this morning it did not seem as long as it did yesterday afternoon. Also as the morning progressed the weather improved so that by the time we were descending from Koy-Tezek pass the clouds were breaking up and some blue sky and sun were shining through.

Just after the pass we stopped to refill our water tank from a nearby stream and to examine a rickety old bridge. We were intrigued by the bridge as yesterday we saw people carry livestock over this bridge.

A bit farther down the road we stopped in a nice wide flat grassy patch for lunch and I decided to see if I could find the source of a minor electrical problem we seem to have - one of the dash board indicator lights comes on periodically for no reason. So once we had eaten I tipped the front of the truck forward and got to work. I found a place where a major wiring harness had been rubbing on the right front shock tower. I could not confirm that this was the problem but regardless put some effort into trying to further insulate the wires. It seems likely that this same shock tower has worn a hole in one of the truck air conditioner hoses and that is why we no longer have A/C. I also took some time trying to fix the leak around the level indicator on the hydraulic oil tank that is under the passenger side door. Unfortunetly I would later find out that neither fix worked. While we were parked one truck driver and a couple of tour operators stopped by to check that we were OK.

Once underway again we got some good mountains views. There are some really spectacular peaks bordering the Gunt River. Again for our camping spot we picked a patch of flatish ground some distance off the road near the river.
