We started the day in mountain mist but that soon lifted and we were treated to a nice sunny day. It is always a little surprising how bright sunshine lifts the mood a bit. However, as you can see from the photos we had, in addition to the sunshine, a little work to do on the truck today. I discovered this morning while doing by irregular inspection that some bolts were loose and needed tightening. Fortunately we found an abandoned gas station which had a nice concrete driveway with a cover in which to work.
The remainder of the day we traveled through pleasant countryside and many small villages and towns. Late in the afternoon we passed through the city of Kayseri. We only glimpsed the city as there was (as is often the case) a bypass of the downtown. But we did notice an amazing collection of pastel colored high rise buildings
Late in the afternoon we found our way to Goreme, one of the towns in the Cappadocia area of Turkey, and to Kaya Camping a camping and caravaning park (caravaning is what it seems Europeans call RVing). Seems like a nice place, electricity, hot showers, wifi and washing machines.
There is only one other vehicle/couple staying here, interestingly they were one of the vehicles in that Seabridge tour group we encountered in Iran.
While chatting to our camping companions and Haka, the campground host, we decided to join the other couple tomorrow morning in a balloon ride. This is one of the attractions for which Cappadocia is famous.
