Hello all, we are about to begin traveling again and it is not entirely coincidence that we are back in Baltimore. We are here to have our truck loaded onto a boat for Europe. We delivered it to the port on Tuesday (May 27th) and expect that it will depart Baltimore about June 5th for Antwerp. We plan on collecting it on June 23rd. We'll see how that plan goes.
It is a bit over 3 months since our last post and during that time we have been busy, but mostly doing tedious things like annual medical checkups and tax returns. On a more pleasant front we have had a chance to catch up with friends and family.
May 16-18 we attended this years OverlandExpo. It was as usual a fabulous event with lots of people to talk to about various travel experiences, and from whom to draw inspiration and ideas.
Tomorrow we are off to Rome for a week as part of our plan for keeping busy and interested while we wait for the truck to finds its way across the Atlantic.
Finally the observant among you will note that I need to make some changes to this website to reflect that fact that the Vladivostok to Istanbul journey is over and that we are about to start a new chapter in our travels. I had great plans for accomplishing these updates during our stay in the US but that did not happen!
