Today we celebated Nina's birthday in a very low-key manner. From our penthouse apartment we took a long walk to find the shipping broker we have to visit tomorrow morning to get the truck. We did a lot of people watching during the walk as the area of Antwerp around our apartment has a large population of orthodox Jews. We were very keen to get some photos of the Jewish men with their long locks, funny hats, and black suits and overcoats.
Later in the evening we heard fireworks as the Belguims celebrated their win over Russia in the World Cup.
We arrived in Antwerp yesterday after spending a few days with Brendon in Berlin. As always it was great to catch up with the German arm of the family. A highlight of this visit to Berlin was scootering. We spent almost an entire day zipping around Berlin on Brendon's red Vespa scooter. Even got Nina to ride on the back of it while I drove. This could be the start of a new mode of travel .. Nina and Rob, motorcycle tourists!!. What do you think.
We are quite excited, tomorrow we (should) get the truck.
