We decided to stay another day at Rastila. We spent the morning doing some chores around the truck - really boring. But in the afternoon we caught the Metro into the city for a bit of a tour.
The first few photos are of the Temple Church, also known as the Church in the Rock. Built in 1969 the church was blasted from solid rock, has a copper roof that is composed of 13 miles of copper ribbon wound into a dish shape. As if this is not enough under the church is an air raid shelter that can accommodate 6000 persons.
The white church later in todays set of photos is the Lutheran Cathedral.
You might notice that some of the people in the crowd are dressed up. Just in case you could not work it out the guy in photo number 4 is "dressed" as a penis and testicles.
