As planned we were on the trail just after 8:20am and for a while had the pleasure of a cool morning breeze.
The Little Bear's Ring trail was well made, lots of sections had been covered with gravel to make them firmer in the lower wetter areas, there were many board walks and stairways all aimed at protecting a fragile environment from the many feet that tramp the trail in summer. There were periodic camping areas and or shelters for longer distance walkers.
The scenery was pretty without being particularly spectacular. Lovely stands of pine, spruce and birch. Clear streams, rivers and lakes with the occasional rapid. All in all a very pleasant summer walk.
