We are in a transition period between traveling with our truck and our adventure in Africa so there is a lot of boring organizational stuff going on which I deem to be not of much interest but just to complete the picture I will give a very brief summary of recent days.
Thursday we simply traveled south along the A1 and spent the night at a very noisy truck stop.
Friday we got as far south as Heidelberg and found a nice campground on the Neckar River about 10km east of Heidelberg. As planned we spent the weekend in the campground cleaning up the truck ready for its stay with Merex in Gaggenau, and packing for Africa. In addition to the work we took a few walks around the area and spent some time watching the river traffic, particularly the barges that were carrying all kinds of goods.
Monday we delivered our truck to Merex and spent Monday and Tuesday nights in a local hotel in Gernsbach (near Gaggenau) and then Wednesday off to Berlin to spend a few days with Brendon and Jessie.
