Today a long slow and twisting drive back through the Atlas mountains took us to the famous city of Marrakech. We said goodbye to Ouarzazate with a quick photo stop at one of the many movie studio/sets in the area, and thereafter we contented ourselves with the occasional photo of a desert setting or spectacular mountain scene.
In Marrakech I pretty much vegged out for the afternoon while Nina went on a special tour to learn about and purchase some special oils. The place she visited was a cross between a cosmetics shop and a dispensary where various health and beauty products made from oil from the Argan tree were sold and explained. On her return it sounded like she had a good time and I got a thorough run through on the small collection of products she bought.
Our evening was occupied with a walk through the main square of the city with 100,000 of our closest friends followed by a dinner at a local restaurant with the inevitable local musicians and belly dancers.
However none of the evenings entertainment got recorded in photos as we were tripped up by Apples Live Photo feature on Nina's phone (it takes a 1.5 sec video whenever we tried to take a photo). Somethings are too smart for their own good.
