Another day on our feet being a tourist in Barcelona. After yesterdays effort we were both very tired and it was only after consulting Nina's Apple watch that we understood why. Well over 25,000 steps and 9+ miles. Maybe I am getting too old for this. But regardless of that we went back into Barcelona for another dose today.

We started the day with a walk through the Barri Gòtic (Gothic quarter) of Barcelona. Most of the buildings in this part of the city are relatively recent (19-20th centuries) and in the Gothic style (Duhh!). But these newer building cover some of the oldest parts of the city with some stone pieces dating from Roman times. Needless to say this walk was very popular, being free.

We finished off our Gothic experience with a walk along the Rambla (a major tree lined pedestrian mall) that goes from north of Plaça Catalunya down to the statue of Christopher Columbus at Port Vell.

Our day finished with a return to Park Güell, this time with tickets to the Monumental Zone where the more exuberant elements of the parks decorations are to be seen.

As on previous days we finished off our day with a visit to the Carrefours supermarket on the Rambla to pick up some groceries and takeaway asian food as neither of us have the energy to cook.
