We went our separate ways today. Late morning we caught the bus together into the city and then separated. Nina went to do more sightseeing and I went looking for adhesives and sealants to fix the damage to the camper body work near the destroyed step. The plan was that we would get back to the campground by mid afternoon so we could get a rest before our late night of dinner and flamenco dancing and music.

So as planned a minibus arrived at the campground entrance around 7:45 to collect us and we were off into the city, collecting more passengers along the way. Traveling through the city was slow as many streets were closed for easter parades and the city was crowded. But even so by 8:45 we arrived in the so-called gypsy part of town at the venue for our dinner and show. The restaurant was housed in a hand dug cave, a deep somewhat narrow affair. The dinner itself was OK (not great) but at least all drinks were included. Eventually 10:15pm arrived and it was time for us to exit the restaurant and file into another cave for our flamenco experience. This room was another hand dug cave in a similar shape to the restaurant, deep and narrow. Small little chairs arranged along the sides of the room for us guests to sit on. The show was fun, I am not sure how good the flamenco was, as I have no point of reference and know nothing about the art form. Presumably pretty good as Michelle Obama visited here. However the guitarist who accompanied the singer, drummer and dancers was pretty good .. it was an uplifting experience.

Eventually the concert was over and we all pilled back into our mini bus for a 5 minute drive to a view point from which we could see out over the entire city. We walked around the streets near the view point getting a midnight mini-tour of some of the older parts of the city. Back in the bus the process of off-loading the guests at their hotel commenced and dragged on interminably. The city streets were still busy and now the trash(garbage) collection trucks were out slowing things down even more. We eventually got back to the campground around 1:00 am only to discover that the main gate was closed. Fortunately with the help of the mini-bus driver we were able to eventually open the pedestrian gate and make our way to bed. We had feared for a few moments that we would have to find some other accommodation for the night.
