As the reader will deduce from the photos, today brought grey skies and rain. After dithering around in Missoula for a long time we eventually got a late start heading south along Hwy 93. Fall colors were out in force but the lack of nice light and water on the lens reduced the opportunity for nice photos to zero.

I should comment on the title of this post. This morning at the KOA we, and a number of other guests, were awakened to the sound of a construction crew grinding up the road pavement immediately behind our camping places and vehicles. And I mean "immediately behind". In our case the pavement grinder was less than one yard from the back of our truck.

We found a nice forest pull-off near the village of Suba for our nights rest.
