The Overland Expo event was noticeably smaller in terms of attendies than its western sibling, however it still managed to be inspiring and we came away from the event even more enthused about our planned trip to Australia next year (more of this in a future post). On a more general note the weather did not particularly cooperate. Thursday night and Friday it rained heavily, so that the exhibitors area turned into a bit of mud pit and walking around was unpleasant though the mud did not seem to stop peope exploring the exhibits. Saturday night the skies cleared and the temperature dropped to 23°F so that by Sunday morning the mud was like concerete.
