Things had been going well in Iran, no hassles from anyone, lots of people to talk to. The only problem up until today was lack of internet and hence no ability to post entries to whiteacorn.
But today the truck broke down in a spectacular manner - a bearing in the right rear wheel hub disintegrated. As luck would have it we were near the city of Shiraz and we had contacted a guide in that town. So via cell phone we and he arranged a tow truck to take us to a local garage and a few guys at the garage have disassembled the hub. We will look for a bearing in Shiraz tomorrow but it is likely that there will be another trip to Berlin in the near future. We will try and keep you all posted.
Once we get some good internet we will upload the daily posts for all the days in Iran.
